Default those two red lights near the sunroof switch...

What are they for?
Stupid question, yes, but I'm sort of curious, because I heard a very bizarre explanation for them. I heard in an Audi video on youtube that they supposedly cast a beam of red light on the dash, so your fingertips are illuminated when trying to find buttons.... sounds strange, not sure I believe it.

Thats exactly what they do, they emit just enough light so you can see your finger to make it easier to push one of the buttons.
Yeah, German cars aren't over engineered..........

it's a long video, so you can skip to 2:15 where it is mentioned. as soon as i heard that i jumped in my car to test it out, and wasn't really that impressed.
