i have an 02 1.8t....have apr chip, custom exhaust, CAI, power gasket....iv only had the chip for about 2 weeks and the last couple days something happened where anytime I accelerate there is a wierd whining sound, almost like a supercharger sound, that increases the more I boost. I used to hold 16-17 psi and spike 20, and now i spike 15 and hold 14ish. Any ideas what might have happened?

I thought maybe a diverter valve blew or possible some boost pressure valve?

 

When you chip, weak points are exposed on your car. Could be a failing dv or maybe a vaucum line. Check your one way check valves.
