Default Need some advice on whether to keep my 2002 A4 or not..

So I have had some minor issues that have caused me a few headaches (mysterious coolant leaks, replacing coils that take days to get in where I live, etc.) and so I started to do some research. I have read a lot of bad consumer reports on the Audi's after 60K miles or so. I am debating whether or not to trade my 2002 in for a 2005 Acura TSX. I have done some research on them and it seems that the owners really love them and have basically no maintenance issues.. Any advice anyone?

Well...it's kinda your own decision based off of what you like and what is worth to you. I have an 02 A4 and I have had plenty of issues, but I fixed most of the issues. I had to change my radiator, catalytic converter, replace my horns, replace a wiring harness, and now it's time to change the timing belt and so forth. But like some other Audi owner's, we love our Audi's. Which 02 A4 did u get?

well, what you have to consider is that with ANY car, you are going to have things go wrong when the car is over 7 years old. I have an 02 (and have had all kinds of issues.) But as long as you take care of each issue, correctly, when it arises, you should be ok.

You mention you have a mysterious coolant leak. Have you checked you coolant flange?

As far as the coils, if you replace them with OEM, they are bound to go out again. I just replaced mine with a set of Stage 1 coils from ECS Tuning and "knock on wood" they seem to be pretty good.

My is a 1.8L Turbo Quattro...

Well I was actually able to fix the coolant issue. A friend of mine used this forum to find out common issues so I ordered the part for $15 and he installed it for me about 2 weeks ago or so and so far so good. I was reading about how the CVT transmissions go out and that sounds pretty crazy to have to deal with. I wasnt sure if the manual's had any similar issues or if they were just small things that come up....?

well, I have an 02 quattro manual, and I haven't had any issues with the tranny. Besides the fact that I am gonna need a new clutch sometime soon (but that is mostly because of the previous owner)
