Im looking for a company or custom shop that can manufacture fiberglass/carbon/kevlar roof for my 2006 Audi A3. Currently, my A3 has an opensky roof system and is made out of a very heavy glass. I'm looking to replace this glass with lighter material for weight reduction. I would like to point out that I'm serious about my hobby in autcrossing and looking for more go than show. Also, price is of no concern at the moment. Please refrain from comments of whats ricey and whats not ricey. I would really appreciate anyones help. Again I am looking for a company that makes or is capable of making a lightweight roof material for my 2006 Audi A3 opensky. Thanx

 

This mod of course will push you up into the mod class. I would think any body shop could fab you up something in fiberglass.

 

hate to bring back an old thread but not much comes up in terms of weight reduction for the A3.

what have you guys done for weight reduction?
