needin to put in a new air filter. heard that KN air filter are the only ones to put in. need to know if the recharger kits are necessary and if that are do i need the spray and greaser. please let me know thanks.

 

I think they are very good filters. As for the oil and cleaner, you do need them when you go to recharge the filter. You need to clean and re-oil the filter approximately every 20,000 to 30,000 miles depending on how dirty it gets. If you over oil the filter you can end up getting that oil on the sensor wires in the MAF and your engine light will pop on.
