Default a not-so-perfect end to a saturday night

as im driving home from school after the football game that we won (26-16, if we had lost, we would have been out of the playoffs), i decide to take the long way home, nice cool night, dense air, and its fairly late so nobody will be on the roads.

as i enter the twisty's an evo pulls up behind me, and as im pushing it as hard as i can he seems to kind of keep up, but for the most part i would say that he would have pulled on me if i had been behind him. this is because my engine seems to me misfiring upon 75% throttle or more (i think this is because of a boost leak).

as i exit, i honk and give him a flash, and he flashes me back, and we go on our way, little to i know that there is an integra (header and catback exhaust, but otherwise bone stock) next to me at a red light, so i launch what i can with my engine doing what it does (grr...) and get owned by a good 5 car lenths after 80 mph... for like 3 times in a row (one part of this street im on has a slight twisty secion to it, i destoryed him in that (go quattro!!))

my question is, do you guys have any tricks as how to check for a boost leak? imma pick up a boost gague, (the lady i baught the car from put a neuspeed chip in it (eww..)) so i should be reading at least 15 psi right?

if i dont find a boost leak, then i have another sneaking suspision that it could be dirty injectors, or somthing fuel related, because i can hear some pinging when the turbo tries to go full boost. Do u guys have any tricks to clean my injectors rather than the fuel addative's that are on the maket (if you guys reccomend one that is good, ill try it, but i dont trust the brands out there as of now, seeing how audi must have special everything)

i hate getting beat in the drag, but getting beat in the canyon is the worst (seeing how thats all people do in socal nowadays) i love my audi, but getting some "W's" on my belt, like in football, would make me love it much, much more.

ok, im done with my complaining, thank you for reading the whole post, and any help would be appreciated!

Get a VAG-COM.

Or you could just borrow one from someone on this list

No, this is because he has eighty horsepower on you, giant F40 brakes, and a very capable suspension. I don't think you could have a boost leak substantial enough to make your engine misfire.

Also, Integras can be kinda fast for really cheap. If it was a GSR, he could run mid 14s with intake, headers and exhaust.

An EVO WILL detroy a 1.8t A4... It is no match whatsoever. He was obviously not racing, and not prepared to overtake. maybe the brisk pace you had was enough for him/her? Either way, an Evo will eat alive an A4... An S4 would severely struggle with an evo.

B5 A4 stage III 1.8ts on 100ct run about 4.5 0 to 60. Now im not sure on stock evo times, but i dont think a evo would destroy me.

But for the money, the Evo is probably way more cost effective. Too bad it looks like crap

So you want to run a modded car against a stock car? Maybe it would be a little fairer to run stock for stock? Spend the same wedge of cash on an Evo, that you spent on an A4 and we'll see what comes out on top...
these are stock figures, out of the box...

My saturday night has been pretty good, I changed my oil earlier, and broke traction on a launch on dry pavement. Never done that before, so I was pretty happy.
