But for the money, the Evo is probably way more cost effective. Too bad it looks like crap
Looks crap?? form before function i think its called!
True, but I'd take my nicer looking, yet slower, A4 over an Evo. 2005 Sti, we can talk. I love the exhaust note on those scoobies.

Good point, I concede.

Evo's aren't bad looking in light blue with a big FMIC. You have to admit, the scoobie engine sounds awesome.

When people chip their cars they becomes very prone to boost leaks. I made one and it is fairly simple. I got two pvc endcaps, one for the hose that goes to the intercooler off the TB. And the other one goes to the inlet hose off the turbo. Forgot the sizes of hand but the one that goes to the inlet hose drill a hole in the top of the pvc endcap to fit a tire valve stem in and put silicone around it. The valve stem should fit fairly tight without the silicone. The other pvc endcap, take off the hose that goes to the smic the bottom hose and slide the pvc endcap in and clamp it down. Take out your PCV valve and cap that off on the inlet hose, a wine cork will do, don't really wanna presurize the crankcase. So put the pvc endcap with the tire stem in it on the end of the inlet hose and add some air to it. 5-10lbs of boost is plenty to hear any leaks. If i find the article off of AW ill post it here. When i did mine i found two leaks, the hose off the DV and the inlet hose at the turbo connection.

Ya know, your really not as smart as you make yourself out to be.You wana run a 30k car against a 10k car? Look at the price tag of a evo, im sure its more then 10k that you would pay a 99.5 A4. Why u compare a car that was about 30k(dont know exacts) to a car that can be had for 10k. Even stage 3 A4s can be had for 15k, still well of from 30k.

You know, maybe you are far too dumb for me to reply to...
I forgot you poor chaps haven't had all the other evos... all the way down to the first one in the early 90's, and it hasn't changed that much. You can buy evo's cheap over here. Anyway.. Either way, the evo will be faster... Surely then, by your own logic, you should compare an Evo VI to your A4... Here's a link for ya to get the info... Either way, the evo would beat you... Stock the 0-60 was in the early to mid 4's....

Its all academic, but if you don't think its fair to compare, then what are you going to race against? Other 10K cars?

hi, new here. but cant help noticing this thread. why put an evo beside an audi a4? watever dat is, an A4 can never win the evo. RS4 however, is a totally different question.
