been here before, but they are not designed for the same thing.... remember you pay a shedload more for the Audi/merc/bmw that would keep up with the evo/sti. The jap ones are designed purely for speed, and handling... Luxury is not high on the list... Class and performance have very seperate price tags.

I would trade my car for a fully modded out black sti. I personally don't really care about the luxury thing. I want to go fast, plain and simple.

Oh man, see I'm totally the opposite. If I wanted to go fast I would have bought a Nissan 300ZX 2+2 for about $3k less than my A4 and upgraded the turbos. That thing would own. But I wanted AWD and a classy ride so I went with Audi.

A 300zx? for drags, it might own an Evo (given the high engine displacement and turbos); for a few rounds at nurburgring, or suzuka; i dun really think that beast knows winding roads well. STi 22B rules by the way, a GTR34 can't even own it on straights (stock cars, both).

We really shouldn't be comparing Jap samurais (as one says) to German pedigrees. Both were very different, and Germans wouldn't knew how to make a clean 1000kg car and sell it straight to the masses, and Japs can't tug in a proper cup holder in fast cars. Americans however, make fast cars which you'd die if you touch the steering even abit.
