Default Audi dealer havin probs getting my ABS Sensors??!?

Well.. car is STILL at audi. Its been a week now.. I guess they are having probs finding those ABS sensors or something.. i find that odd. Dont they order stuff like that in the states from Germany??? I guess the parts ppl told the guy at the dealer that my 89 is too old LOL. Well I missed my deadline for inspection now.. i have to take the plates off it. and wait a bit before i can get new temp plates.. the prob is.. if i do not pass inspection.. they take my plates away and i wont be able to get any plates for 6 MONThS!!! I will need you guys help big time!!!

Thanks for the idea! But my temp plates already expired last friday and i could not get it inspected anyway.. besides that.. there was a noise comming from the brake area on the tires (which i thought it was the ABS sensors before taking it to audi).. and that just wouldnt work hehe.. they are VERY picky on base.. any little LEAK and you FAIL... I unhooked the drivers side window so nobody would hit the switch.. and make the drivers window grind to a halt half way down lol. I asked about the turn signals by the headlights while i was at the dealer.. the guy said it would be like 200 EUROS to fix it?? What the hell?? its prob just 2 bulbs, and a fuse!! I did ask about why its taking so long for the ABS sensors to come in. I guess the warehouse is OUT of them.. and they had to call BOSCH to MAKE 4 new ones.. bec my car is sooOOooOoOooOooo "OLD". It seems to the germans, anything older than 2000 is too old! Thats insane to me! This car looks great for an 89...*sigh* I need to find out whats wrong with the turn signal lights when i get the car home.. bec i dont think it will pass inspection with just the little bumper turn lights (those work).

Another question... I looked at many other forums and many cars have this prob it seems.. some weird Idling.. when your in Neutral.. the engine revs a bit, and at the same time the oil pressure? gage goes up a bit too.. then drops back down to normal. The car has a NEW ISV? valve on it (the thing by the air cleaner) what what else could fix this?? Oxy Sensor?? New Air Filter?? Any Ideas?

Thanks

it could be the throttle body needs cleaning out, idle air bypass valve, vacuum leak, air filter dirty, incorrect spark plugs, bad fuel, timing out

HUmmmm... well i DO know there was old fuel it in.. the car was sitting for some time... and I added some fuel system cleaner to it and some better gas.. after that it stopped smoking bec at first it was REALLY bad. I think my next project is taking out the air filter. I heard its kinda hard to do.. but you can slip it outta the box without taking the whole thing apart.

For Audi Parts try Force Five in Concord NH. 603-223-6700

Chris Gets stuff no one else has and his prices are great.
A $130.00 pressure switch is $25.00 from Chris and it's a real Audi part.
VW Passat front end bushings etc were $600 instead of $1500 as quoted by a parts house
He also has used stuff for those who are daring!

Tell him that Fred Dimock told you to call.
