Default Premiere Purchase

I am contemplating financing the purchase of my next Audi via a premiere purchase. I usually lease. However, I will be going overseas and from my understanding most banks disallow lease agreements outside the continental US. I was hoping someone could give some feedback on how the premiere Purchase option is working for them

thanks

First of all, welcome to the forum AudiDoc!

Which is the "premier purchase"? Is that an Audi/VW Financial Group designation?

yes..it's a balloon type loan that offers lower monthly payments like a lease but offers ownership of the vehicle

I have a their regular purchase loan (low apr loan). I can say that they are very strict about insurance coverage. If your insurance lapses for any reason or if you change it without notifying you in advance, they get very aggressive toward you.

Example: For some strange unkown reason (I still haven't received a good answer), my insurance company changes the last letter on my policy with every new year's renewal. When Audi/VW check for the renewed policy, the old number comes up invalid. Thus I receive a default notice. This has happened every year (and it occurs within days of the renewal date). It's a pain (and not Audi's fault), but their letter does make me feel like they think I'm a criminal!!

That's one of the big reason I hate taking out loans, there's too many things to contend with. And then there's always some little thing that's usually off the wall like that that just causes more trouble when it's unnecessary! [:@]

I'm pretty sure that if you finance the purchase through Audi financial that living overseas is not an issue.
