Default wheel bearing replaced.. heeeelp

i just had the front wheel bearings replaced (both sides), and got the car back today, but the mechanic said I needed to replace the brake pads, rotors, but i rotated the tires myself last week and checked on the pads.. they were good... when i got the car I noticed the brake lights on, and ABS.... the brake felt smooshi..like...and was making a lot of noise.. and when i turn the wheel i coul hear metal on metal noise......just weird...it wasnt like this the day before....does it happens like that...day to night?!?!? it wasn't an audi authorized..... but they work on lots of audi and bmw.. (european motors...the name of the place)...any sugestion will be helpfull!!!

Brakes wont wear out overnite. If they were "ok" last week they should still be ok this week. As for the brake lights, check you brake fluid level. Low level can cause both lights to come on. Otherwise youll probably need an abs contorl module. The noise heard during turning is probably not brake related at all. Check your ps fluid level. You may also want to check your tie rods and ball joint boots to see if any of those are torn.

Remove the front wheels and check the pads again. If you have the circle with the brake shoes on the outside symbol, it could be low brake fluid.
