Default Newb here, idle probs. , have the requisite quick question

Hi, just wanted to say this is a great forum with tons of info. I just purchased a 92 100 s 5 spd 2.8 ltr. It runs like a top and is in unbelievable shape. The only problem is the all-too-common idle problem that alot of the guys here seemed to have. Sometimes it will drop from 900/800 down to below 400 and stall at idle, especially if I'm coming from a moderate speed to a stop. I want to clean the ISV but being a German car newb, I'm not 100% sure where it's location is. Does the 92 100 S 2.8 even have an ISV? Is it the module right next to the fuel filter? I have a Bentley's ordered but I'd like to get started with the basics now. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yeah you're right I shoulda posted the question elsewhere. I just figured some knowledgeble newb or charitable vet wold take mercy on me and answer my dumb question. I've searched but can't seem to come up with an answer for my specific model. I really need that Bentley service manual. Anyway, hello from PA. and I'm really glad I got my Audi.
