Newb here with a couple questions :)
i'm lookin into getting an A4, and was pointed to this forum from another member on a different forum...
the car i'm looking at is a 1998 A4, quattro, 1.8T, 5spd, tan leather, offwhite color, etc etc i'm sure you guys know all about'em :P... anyway i've already been told about the suspension TSB, but not to far in depth, anyone care to elaborate on what exactly it is? the damage it might cause? what needs to be replaced? any aftermarket solutions to avoid buying parts from audi? also i'd like to know how to differentiate between an A4 that has the forged internals, and ones that dont, is it a year thing? or something i'll have to look up by vin? and also anything else i might need to look into... the particular one i'm looking at has around 60K miles on it, and has already had the 60K mile checkup, and is SUPER clean...
now a little about myself, currently i drive a 97 subaru impreza OBS as a daily driver, its for sale though if anyones interested, and my current project car is a 2003.5 mazdaspeed protege, although its less of a project more of a stocker that i enjoy driving :P...

Welcome to the forums! You will get better responses to your questions in the A4 forum below this one on the main page. There is also a search function that works pretty good on most topics. Good luck with your questions.
i haven't set a price yet, but it will be somewhere around 4K-5K... but it comes with 2 2.5RS bumpers, bumper support, WRX rims with good tires, JDM foglights, mounting brackets, subydude short shifter, JDM nardi steering wheel, new (just installed like 2 weeks ago) Pioneer cd/mp3 player (really nice, like 600 dollar unit), rear differential gaurd plate... also i just replaced the rear wheel bearings, alternator tensioner, alternator belt, headlight bulbs, also it has almost brand new tires on it right now... probably some other stuff i'm forgetting...
heres a picture i took a couple months ago:

the only things wrong with the car is the paint is chipped off on the front bumper a little bit, looks like the previous owner scuffed a wall or something, and 2 small spots of rust bubbles starting up (not bad at all), about the size of a quarter right at the very bottom of the sheet metal on each rear wheel well, pretty much the most common spot for any vehicle to start rusting, and it is not bad at all...
