question about 03 A4
Hello everyone,
I am in the process of purchasing a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro 3.0L with 29K miles. I am new to Audi so I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on any problems the 03 might have. I have heard the electrical system on them tends to be the biggest problem (and the most expensive), but is this something that should prevent me from making the purchase of this very nice car?
thankyou

I would say to look for a good maintenance history.
If only 29k, it should be like a new car still. Just make sure all the normal maintenance was followed, and look for any repairs not part of the schedule that may have indicated an issue somewhere.
Do you have a link for the one you're looking at? How much is it? It should be a pretty sweet ride.

Here's the car
However, the dealer will not let me take it out on my own for an extended test drive, they tried to tell me they needed a $1000 security depoit just to run the financing stuff, which is BS....and they want me to tell them where I have set up an appointment for a check-up and have one of their technicians take it there.....I have had no problems with those three things at other dealerships, and these guy are putting up a fight about making me comfortable buying the car..so they are leaving me with a very uneasy feeling...want and love the car...not the aprehensive feeling this dealer is leaving me with...I'm probable going to look around some more.

Well, keep looking, its an automatic anyway.
Just have them swipe the CC for the 1000 deposit. Shouldn't be a big deal.
I much prefer to buy cars from private owners anyway. I hate car dealers, they just seem to try to rape you for anything they can.

you should have no problems for a long time, i had my fuel pump go out at 49,000 but you have a warranty till 50,000, i have an auto with tip and love it, will never buy a manual becasue of los angeles traffic, i would say get it if the dealer doesn't hassle you.
