Question to 03-04 audi a6 owners / chrome question

the silver strip above the bumper. Is it chrome? does not feel like it. pLease advise. IF so, how do you clean it?

I think it is "chromed" plastic. A magnet will tell you for sure. I use the same wax that I use on the body.
