Default TT owner who wants an A4

I have a modified TT225 and have been very impressed with the quality and performance. My mom wants to purchase a used sedan with AWD,can afford between $20 - 24 K and really likes my Audi. Sheonly drives about 5K miles per year and very slowly. Will the V6 be worth the added expense and what options available on the A4 do you think a 51 year old women would like. Also she has both a 2000 Z3 2.8 and a 95 Grand Cherokee V8 to trade in so I'm guessing she can come pretty close to breaking even.
Thanks.

I would think the 1.8 would do just fine. She seems like a casual driver so that would work. If she does go through with it, definatly make sure it's a Quattro. Take her to test drive some Audi's and let her decide if she likes the 4-cylinder or the V-6. Would knows, lol, she may even start driving faster and more because of it...

go with the v6

driving that much gas mileage wont be much of a problem

and she wont have to worry as much about warm up-cool down times

make sure it has the "cold weather package" with heated seats and a bunch of other nice stuff

Definitly V6... That way she doesnt have to worry about the health of the Turbo.. She can just get in her nice luxury car and go go go... It offers more power stock, nicer interior (So i've heard) and the ability to push the engine and not have to worry about letting the turbo cool down etc... Not that shes gonna be speeding or anything just a thought The V6's gas mileage is slightly lower but at 5k miles a year it shouldnt be a big deal.

You don't need to worry about letting the turbo cool down anyways because it is water cooled. Turbo timers were designed for oil cooled turbos so the oil doesn't sit in the turbo and cook. It is definitely a good thing if she were to let it cool down but it isn't going to be a big deal if she just turns it off.
