weird noise WOT w/GIAC
Ok so I have had my car chipped for about a month now and I am impressed. Under second gear and other such high torque and max boost instances though I can hear a weird creaking noise with my window down. It is definately audible but if the window is rolled up I hear nothing. There is no lack of throttle response associated with it. Anyway I drove it through a tunnel and did this in second and when I hit about 4500 rpm's the noise echoed and sent shivers down my spine...almost sounded like a pulsating noise of metal shifting or rubbing against something. Honestly sounded like my chasis was going to snap apart haha. I dont believe it is knocking since throttle response is ok but can it be from the turbos? Maybe the engine is shifting? For now I'm just running the car under stock mode.
Does it sounds like a dentist drill? A high pitched whining noise? If so that's the sound of a dyeing turbo.
Other noises, can be a wheel bearing, metallic grinding noise. A bumping metal smashing metal (like a hammer) engine. trans mounts, or snub mount. Lastly a squeaking, noise like bar TRE, suspension arm, or CV joint.
