I have a '97 a4 1.8t and it has 150,000 on it. I have been having problems with the transmission shifting really hard lately. Tonight it was able to shift from drive to reverse and neutral but not able to come out of first gear. I was able to get it home by just trying every fifteen minutes and finally it shifted. I was wondering if anyone knew of something that i could that could maybe help alliviate the problem without doing a full tranny swap?
