Hi All!

I just burned a CD with music and it does not play in my car. I have a 2002 Audi 1.8T with the 6 disc changer and cassette in the dash. I burned it on a CD-RW blank cd. Why does it not work? It give me a CD error. Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks

Did you burn them in MP3 format? Your CD player may not be an MP3 player. If this is the case you need to convert from an MP3 format to format your CD player will recognize. Winamp has a utility that will make the conversion for you. Also some burning software has a "finalize" stage that must complete before your CD player will recognize the files.

No, I created an Audio CD. I am not sure if I finalized the CD. I will have to check that out. Someone else told me to try a CD-R blank CD. Thanks for the feedback! I will check it out and hopefully post a solution soon!

Hello

It's the way you are burning the data into the CD.
Before anything, your burning program will ask how or in what format you want to burn your data. In this case your music data.
Since I don't know if your CD player system is capable of playing MP3, WMA(Windows format) or the many other format, I will suggest to choose the the Audio format. This a General format that should play in ALL CD players.
Nero 6 is a good burning program.

I am having a similar problem. CD-Rs that have been burned in audio format with either WMP10 or Nero 6 and finalized will not play well in my Symphony. Usually about half of the tracks will play. This is on regular Imation CD-Rs.
