auxhillary point to play music through iphone?
Hi all,
I'm new on here and would appreciate any help relating to my question that i have. I received an Audi A4 Saloon 1.8TFSi 120ps 6sp yesterday. I wanted to know if it has an auxiliary plug to which I can connect my iphone into to play music.
I'm so fed up with having to make cds all the time and not only that but they get easily scratched and sometimes the music freezes because of this. I called up my local Audi garage to inquire about this and he said that most Audis have an auxiliary plug built in near the handbrake area but I can't seem to see it. Is it possible that i could get one fitted into the car or is there any other way I could play music through my iphone?

Nope. You can get a harness and take out your factory radio and patch one in but nothing like an Auxillery port until i think 2008 they offered a sucky Ipod adapter.
Funny thing is my VW from 2007 gets one. You would think the premium brand of the same corporation should have that. Hell my VW has rear AC vents but not in the Audi.
That kind of crap makes me mad.

yes - I have used an itrip, small device which plugs in the bottom of your iphone/ipod and converts the audio into an FM signal, you then tune your radio to that frequency and voila - music from you iphone on your car stereo. quality is comparable to broadcast FM radio but not as good as CD/MP3, typically works well, just buy one of the better brands.
