hi all any help will be much appreciated. brake light on drivers side not working at all. warning light on dash comes on. checked and changed bulb and checked earth conection,which i believe is the one in the passenger side rear compartment?? could this be to brake light switch? not sure seeing as this is the only one not working!! thanks again

 

What year, model, etc?

Brake light switches are notorious for going bad in the older models, if it's newer than take it back to the dealer.

I had EXACTLY the same problem... but on the passenger side. Brake lights kept failing, warning line came on...

I went and got a new set of bulbs... still didnt work!

THEN I changed the fuse for the break lights (found in the front panel fuse box... see your manual for details). That did the trick. I think my fuse was damaged, but I've replaced it and had no problems since. Might be worth a try?
