1.8t timing belt replacement interval
I found some Audi maintenance schedules posted at:
http://www.bentleypublishers.com/tech/audi
The 2001 maintenance schedule (pdf) indicates a timing belt change at 105,000 miles for the 1.8t, however the previous model year's interval was only 80,000 miles.
Is 105,000 miles a reasonable interval or should a prudent 2001 A4 Avant Quattro owner change it earlier? I certainly wouldn't want it to break on me, but it'd be fine with me to push out that expense another 25,000 miles if it were safe to do so.
Any thoughts or advice on belt change intervals would be appreciated.
