Can a 2.0T engine fit in a 01.5 1.8T a4?

Yup - long as you have a lot of ingenuity, a lot of money, or both, and a ****-ton and a half of supporting parts, like pretty much everything else under the hood and most of what's under the chassis, and are comfortable running a CNC machine to create parts and don't mind rewiring every damn thing that has wires.
Go for it and write a DIY. Or get another 1.8T and drop it in and be happy.
This question gets asked in some form every week or two and the answer is always the same. Can it be done? Yes. You can drop the V12 from a McLaren F1 in there if you want. Whether you can do anything more than physically place it there depends on money and ability.
