mechanical malfunction in cd changer mechanism or something like that. my friends b6 S4 has this and he cant load cd's in. anyone know if audi will cover this under warranty? or how we could fix it? he doesnt have the radio code so we dont want to unhook the cd player. could vag clear the code? just trying to help him out. tia in advance for any help. I tried searching but nothing for error # 3. thanks.

 

Just take out the cartridge and put it back in again. It should do the trick

 

It's in dash changer, no cartridge.

 

i experienced the err03 code for the first time today. it happened when i put the cd in backwards and on another disk for some unknown reason. in both cases i just popped out the cartridge and cd and put them back in and everything was fine. since urs in in dash i would just try popping out all the cd's and then putting them back in. if that doesn't work than jus take it into the dealership. it should be covered under warranty.

 

there's no cd's in it yet. but let me go mess with it for a minute...
