I have a 2000 A6 with the bose system, in-dash cd, 6 CD changer tunk mounted, and I can not get the changer to read a CD. When it tries to load the CD it will give me an ERR01 error on the display. Has anyone had a problem like this and if so, what is the fix? Thanks.

 

What type of cd. Is it a store purchase or one that has been burned? If it is a burned cd it might be the way it was burned.
Try playing it on another cd player.

 

It is store bought. I have 6 CDs loaded and it won't read any of them.

 

Mine does this on one CD I have, and once it hits it... it will not reset till i remove the magazine and take the CD out. The cd plays find in the dash, just not in the CD changer.

I think the CD may be one of those multimedia CDs and thats what confuses it, but not sure.
