Back Up Camera Question- First Timer
I just joined the audi family and i can say i have never been as happy with a car in my life...
I got a A5 2010 premium plus used with 20k miles and it is just beautiful
The question i have is that the only thing i want to make the car complete is the backup camera....
I have been doing some research on here and other sites and people seem to think it is near impossible because i don't even have the navigation or sensors...
Anyone out there had one installed who was in my similar situation????
I want the camera and the cool software that predicts where you will go as your turn the wheel...are cables already run or will they have to cut holes and do all sorts of work.
any advice from the Audi gods on here would be much appreciated....thanks!!!!

I would agree with the others, it would be near impossible to do. Because the rear view camera requires the MMI/NAV , camera module, camera, wire harness, the different trim pieces needed, etc........plus installation, coding, calibration, adaptation, etc..... What I mean is, it would be less expensive to buy an A5 that has the system. I guess it probably could be done, my guess is parts and labor would be a minimum of $4,000, most likely more than that even. There may be more to it, since the camera works in conjunction with the back up warning system. I'd advise against even attempting it. Sorry to be the bad news guy!
