B7 A4 2.0TFSI Power Steering Problems
Hi there!
I have a 2007 A4 Avant 2.0TFSI Quattro and I've been having a few issues with my power steering - need a bit of advice!
My power steering pump gave up a few days ago - the shaft of the pulley pulled about 5mm out from the body of the pump, the pump emptied all the PAS fluid out of the shaft seal all over the engine bay, and the aux belt got a bit chewed up for good measure.
I have replaced the pump, and the aux belt. I refilled with new audi mineral fluid and bled the system by doing several million turns lock-to-lock with the engine off, and then with the engine running (with the reservoir cap off). I got a friend to observe plenty of air coming coming out of the system until it stopped. No whine from the pump.
The problem is, with the car lowered back down, i still have absolutely NO power steering assist.
Any ideas why this might be? Completely stumped.
Tom
