I have the stupid p0741 code popping for the torque converter, ive done alot of research on it ive seen everything from it being the maf dirty from my k&n filter, to it being a false code because its a later year car im at 115k on it. i just had the trans fluid changed and the code wiped 2 days it poped back up ive road tested it to death even really beating on it i cant get a slip skip or chirp out of it no sign of any thing actually wrong. i had a p1411 code on too but cleaning up the sensors past the air box cured that. so i really am at a loss the dealership near here said 2000 to put a tc in and i dont want to if i can help it. i know the old audis better. its a 2.7t 5spd tip. any help would be apriciated

 

you need a torque converter. your research and test drives are are accomplishing nothing.

this is common for older A6's... most people still drive w/ the light on and save money to have the dealer drop it in cause its not an easy job by any means
