2001 A6 Interior Bulbs?
Problem Solved!
I hard-wired my radar detector to the sunroof's power supply (which is putting out 12-15V only with the key in the on-position - perfect for a radar detector) but that wouldn’t power the unit for some reason, maybe there isn’t enough amperage on that wire? I then tested the hard-wire on the dome lights' power supply and it worked. So I just wired it to that and called it a day.
Later that night, I realized that the LEDs were working as they're supposed to (I no longer have to open a door to get them to turn on). This happy coincidence has lead me to believe that the LEDs just weren't drawing enough power but with the radar detector tapped into the same line, enough additional power is being drawn on that circuit to power the LEDs. I don't know how much sense that makes but the interior LEDs all work as they should now so I'm happy.
