Left side windowlifts not working
Hey,
I have a problem with both my left windowlifts on my 5-door -00 A3. They don't work. First I thought there was some contact that was messed up so I started to open up the controls on the drivers door but then as I clicked the switch (drivers door) I could hear a slight click from the door, same with the back door. I wasnt really prepared for dissassembling the door so I gave up for now.
Have any of you run into this before?
I'm probably taking it apart tomorrow but some pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks

Ok guess it was just jammed, opened up the back door first and removed the lift, gave the mechanics some wd-40 lovin' and tada it's ok, yay me.. did same thing to drivers door and got it working
BUT
when I raise the window to the top it goes down like 2 inches and makes a rasping noise (trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrra). I've read somewhere that it's a classic, just have to find it

My right passenger rear only goes up/down for the duration the switch is active. Press the switch the window goes down. Let up from the switch the window stops. Therefore, the individual window has noone-touch up orone-touch down.
Meh. It works. Just not like the others.....

Can it just be that I assembled it wrong? I mean do I have to do anything when I put it back together or is it some automatic thing that "knows" when the window is up top? Maybe a stupid question
I'm gonna reopen the door tomorrow to check gears, I was a bit pissed last time so I gave up. Took a bit longer then I thought, hadnt eaten, stupid neighbours bothering me etc etc
