I have the evoms intake on my B5. installation is pretty much a bitch and the first intake I recieved from them a lot of the bolt holes did not line up and in one case the top of one of the bots sheared completely off. The build quality is definatly not there and I am seriously considering buying a carbonio one. It may be a lot more money (like $150 for me) but it seems like a much better made product so I think it might be worth it. All i know is that the evoms customer relations (at least for me) were less than spectacular

what you describe I would say has been the opposite for the B7 intakes. i have heard of some problems with the CF lid not fitting ont he Carbonio. for and extra 100 bucks for this piece it better well fit is my opinion. I think the performance is pretty well document as being the same between the two or maybe slightly better with the EVO, for the B7 application. I think anyone would be happy with either, unless you are expecting it to really give you massive gains. If so you will be disappointed.

what websites would be the "best" to buy either the Carbonio CAI or the EVOMS Cold Air Intake so I can compare the two, thanks!

Default carbonio

I know this is a little off topic, but I recently bought a Carbonio intake for my 05 A4 2.0t, and now the MAF seems to keep dying. The dealer told me that the MAF is only rated for a certain pressure and the intake is letting too much air in and overloading the sensor, which in turn causes it to fry. Has this happen to anyone else and if so how did you fix the problem. the only thing left for me to do is put the factory airbox back on and try to sell the intake to someone else who want to deal with the problems. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate them.

I bought an evoms intake a while ago and the fit and quality wasn't that great. I would have bought a carbonio if they had one for my car even if I had to pay more.

There has been numerous tests and discussions about which one is better and they both have the same performance gains but the EVO is a lil louder
