Default local garage repair bill....

Looks like I have my first issue with the allroad, my alternator is shot. I took it to the only local garage that I can find that works on Audi's only, I didn't want to take it to the dealer. I never delt with them and they seem to know what there doing and only two guys work there, they own it and been in the same location since 1973. What I was wondering what kind of repair should I be looking at? A reasonable price to replace the alternator.

Default update

Well after 2 weeks in the shop I got the alternator replaced, had the (what I assume it is) electric overload fan fixed (bad connection), the secondary air injection fixed (the CEL was on for that) and had the oil changed for a total of $1049. I don't think that was a bad price. I would have gotten raped at the dealer for all that work.
