Default need intake and exhaust for C6 A6 3.2

Does anyone know where I could find a CAI and relatively cheap exhaust for my A6 3.2? It seems unfortunately this is not a popular engine to mod; so far all I can find is a panel K and N air filter and an exhaust (i forget who makes it) that is about $2000. Yikes. Advice from A6 owners and A4 3.2 owners would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a cheap but effective exhaust setup.

1. Buy Magnaflow X-Pipe and Magnaflow (forget the number but check the A6 forums) mufflers.
2. Cut out the resonator and mufflers and have the resonator replaced with the x pipe and swap in the magnaflow mufflers for the OEM ones. Then buy some magnaflow tips (whatever you like).

Should only run you $400 - $500

From what ive read, the Audis air boxes are the best in the buisness, in the B5 S4s, it is free flowing enough to support 500hp! The only intake mod you need is the K&N panel filter, Thats all I got! And besides, the stock Audi set up looks 100x better than a CAI, they you have hoses and wires running everywhere with out the cover hiding them. Stone is right on exhaust, nice cheap way to get a good sound!

I have a 2006 A4 3.2L and I bought a EVOMS V-FLOW intake that looks great and the website says that it could gain a 10-15 HP and the same for torque. You should check it out a www.parts4euro.com or www.evoms.com

ILL Industries sells a custom built exhaust - Axle back for the 3.2 a6. It is around 450-500 with mufflers built specifically for the A6. Nice looking setup. I got it on my A6.

That 10-15hp gain claim might be valid if you had replaced your factory airbox with a sweat sock stuffed in a soup can. As stated, the air intake systems on these cars flow far more air than the engine can take in already. You'll get a nice induction roar at higher RPM and you won't have to buy another air filter the rest of the car's life (both of which are great reasons to get one) but don't buy expecting a power gain that is very unlikely to show up.
