Default 1993 Audi 100 CS Quattro V6 Fuel Filter Replacement

I am going to replace the fuel filter on my 100 quattro V6. The filter is located under the hood near the right strut mount. Looks like a pretty easy job of loosening up couple of bolts . I don't have a manual for this. Does anyone know if there is any trick or special tool required to replace the fuel filter? Do I need to pinch the lines or just pull the fuel pump fuse and let the engine run out of gas? Thanks.

I am guessing the lines may be a rubber material, dont let your car run out of gas. It hard on the fuel pump and injection system. Get some clamps and use those for the lines...I think some auto stores sell them as well.

no need for pinching ... when you undo the filter bolts the fuel pressure will be lost ... there is some fuel in the filter also so it might take a while of cranking the get the car running, but it will start and run after the fuel presure is back to normal .... as far as tools go - use two wrenches 17,19,22mm a combination of two of them, one for holding the filter in place other for undoing the bolt, do you don't twist and break the fuel lines
