i was looking into buying a 94 100 cs quattro wagon which needed a new transmission and was wondering if anyone knew of how much a used transmission would cost. any help would be great. thanks

Depends on your luck! When I needed one for my 4000 I got prices anywhere from $150 to $950. The high price came from the so called Audi specialty dismantlers and the lowest price ($150) was from my local bone yard. $1100 to $1300 is waaaaaay to much considering that you will probably only get a 30 day warranty. Might as well throw in a couple more beans and have it the original rebuilt by local transmission shop or do it yourself, there is nothing to it, unless you nuked it.

 

also if you search, you might find a six speed tranny manual for diferent audi but it should bolt on no problem but might require new half shaft from tranny to the rear.
