Default 91 Audi 80 vacuum leak

I have a 92 Audi 80 that needs part #054133997F, dealer tells me not made anymore but can be had for $215.00. I don't know what the part is called but it's a hose assembly that has multiple ports (like an octopus) and mine is melted to the engine. Ports go to various things, something to do with the throttle and 4 or 5 other things. This is causing a major vacuum leak in my car so it runs like crap. If anyone is familiar with this part I could use advice. Would it be unwise to try to use a used part? Also, any idea what kind of labor hours I'm looking at to replace it?
I have a backyard mechanic who is experienced with Audis so my labor should be reasonable but I'm not sure if I should spend the $215 to put into such an old car. Car has 185,000 miles but is basically sound otherwise.
Thanks
Robin
