Heya....got a customer who brought in this 93 Audi 100CS. He had a "friend" swap out an engine for him. He originally brought it in 'cuz his friend burned the wire for the crank sensor. He informed us that the car had not been started with the new engine in it(not new, same year model make). It has no spark and no injector pulse. We ran all the wires, checked fuses and relays. Check connectors,etc. Nothing. It appeared that the computer was not functioning so we swapped it out for a boneyard brand. Still nothing. IT cranks but absolutely will not start. Any ideas other that the fact that it was a complete hack job on the engine?

 

Did you check the crank sensor ? and does the signal from it actually gets to ecu ? or possibly bad ground connections somewhere.

crank the engine and the without turning of the ignition check the codes in the system by flashing them out. and report back.
