HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so lets look at this problem in a different way, engine cold means all liquids are the same temp? engine hot means all the components expand ( tranny being your biggest enemy ) because ATF fluid almost doubles it capacity with heat so when you filled the tranny was it too much
i filled 4qts because it was almost dry in the stick. i did a search to buy a new one and all I got was valve cover gasket. where do i buy that gasket. how could adding oil and tranny fluid kill a gasket?
...on the exhaust? As I mentioned the only seals that could cause that are the distributor 0-rins...big thick Green Vitan 0-ring gaskets. & the distributor flange gaskets....the distributors bolt to a flage that bolts to the back of the heads. It's a thin Blue gasket.
& the front & rear of the valve covers are suseptable to leaks, since there are no acorn bolts in the back or front to tighten like on the sides of the VC. hence most gasket leaks accure at the front or rear of the VC's. someone elses thoughts
