How do you turn cruise control on, on a audi 90cs quattro?

I cant seem to figure out how to turn my cruise control on! Now it may be broken and in need of replacing, but i dont want to fix something that doesnt need to be fixed. I may just be a complete idiot and not know what to do. BTW i do not have the owners manual.

1990 100Q...The cruise control on mine has a black rubber "plunger" that, when squeezed, seems to have somewhat of a vaccuum effect. This plunger has a thin piece of metal protruding out that should be fashioned to a long threaded(at the end connecting to the plunger) rod with a ball joint on the other end connecting to the throttle. The threaded arm fell off of mine somehow and my CC doesn't work either. I got a replacement for free from a guy who's worked on my car for a few years now. Shouldn't bee too expensive, if that's what's wrong with yours. That's all i can say. Peace.
