Default FOR SALE 1990 100Q

I recently took my car in to get worked on. there's good news and bad. i'm one to front, so here's the bad: it's gonna cost $1000-1200 to fix. I just don't have the cash right now to put into it, so I need to rid of it. Problems>(oil cooler, water pump, rear brakes shot and not working for a long time, e-brake cables needs tightening or replacement not sure which yet, and the front right axle is "about to fall off", cruise control needs minor fix, locks have "become" manual>most likely wiring in doors, back left window doesn't go down>probably needs a switch, exhaust needs donut "after" cat. converter ) I heard about all this 3 days ago from Petrick's auto in Willoughby, OH. I've dealt w/Mark a lot, so he wouldn't screw me over. The good news!!!!!!!!!!: New tires, regular oil changes, recent tune-up, have all receipts, kept all gas mileage records, it's my first car and first love so sad to have to let it go... Ask me and I will tell you. 1990 Audi 100Q, 190k, 5spd, silver w/black leather interior, aftermarket Infinity Reference speakers, multi-color JVC KDLH1000 detachable head unit (have factory speakers in a box along w/aftermarket headunit tape player), wired for subwoofer, 12" Eclipse Subwoofer in custom enclosure w/new Sony 800w 4 channel amp, pwr windows, pdl, moon roof, cruise control, pwr seats. Pretty sure that's about it.......I just need to get rid of it before i start to cry for the loss of my love. please respond via email : lilbacon3@netzero.com or you can call me on weekends @ 440-339-6896. Well, I hope you're interested and willing to purchase. If not, have a great day anyhow. hope to hear from you soon. God bless, Chad M. Ballash.

Default RE: FOR SALE 1990 100Q

Sad to hear that you have finally decided to part with your 100Q, I have a 1991 version and have probably gone through some of the pains you have described and then some. Just about everything you mentioned is common for this model. I do most of my own work but still manage to put in about $1K every year, some are necessary repairs others are preventative maintenance. The only thing that I won't do is bodywork. I like my 100Q and plan to keep it as long as possible. If I find a newer 100Q or A6Q with a 5-speed then I will upgrade but such a find has been eluding me for the last 2 years. A Quattro with an automatic is not something that I would consider unless I was buying one new.

A used car is a used car, you might find something newer but you will still end up sinking money into. Good luck and I hope you find that cream puff!
