My '01 allroad had 105k, and the repairs are starting to add up (just replaced 1 air spring bag, air compressor and solenoid valve ~$3k) now told need to replace the oxygen sensors and catalytic converter. Any suggestions on repairs - shop quoted $3k to repair (another quoted $2400) - love the car, but repairs are starting to go beyond reason (valve cover gaskets also starting to leak). Can the sensors be replaced w/out the catalytic converter? No symptoms w/ car performance - just the code stating all 4 sensors and both converters were bad. Any suggestions or where to find parts?
Also curious if any other allroad owners have experienced similar problems -- and what upcoming repairs to expect when mileage exceeds 100k
