Default Can you identify this part?

This is part, on the drivers side by the tranny around the middle of the car, is cracked on my 2001 allroad 6 speed MT. Please see the picture.
I want to replace it and don't know what it is. Can anyone help? I thought it might be the transmission support bracket But when I found a picture of it, it doesn't really look like the same part. see the support bracket here: Home Page > ES#10951 Transmission Support Bracket - Left (Driver) - 8D0399107S
Thanks for the help.

Just go to the dealer an describe the area of the part your wanting to replace, he should pull up an exploded view of the parts then you should be able to pick out your new part

Unfortunately, the dealer is a 140 mile round trip drive. Also, I don't see a need for a new part on a car with 146,000 miles that might only last another 20,000. A used part will be more than good enough, if I can just identify it properly. So far I haven't correctly identified in parts diagrams I've seen on-line.

Maybe if you could take a couple better pictures I (or other people) might be able to help you a little more.
