Default Default Radio Volume

All,

Is there any way to set the radio to, upon turn on, retain the volume that was set when the car was turned off? It drives me nuts that I have to keep turning up the volume when I start the car.

Yes, you can set the max on volume. The radio will turn on the same volume as it was turned off, unless that volume is higher than the max on volume. If you hold down the menu button on the radio to get into the settings area, look for a setting along the lines of "Max On" and adjust it to what you like.

At least this is the procedure for my '02...I think it's the same on an '04. It's in the owners manual too.

Thanks. My owners manual(s) has next to nothing about by radio (except for the satellite radio insert). This was helpful.

There is also a setting in the menu called CVS. It can be off or 1-5. Is this something todo with adjusting the volume according to the speed or ambient noise of the car? Again - nothing about this in the owners manual.

Thanks.

Yea, I think the CVS is the speed sensitivity setting. I turn it off. I didn't like it in my RX-8, and I don't like it on the Allroad either.
