The A4 is the biggest leaker and needs the timing belt changed, so I will do the cam seals then.
There does seem to be a big performace change between the 2.8l 12v and the 2.8l 30v and I can see that the 2.7t in a manual transmission would be even more of a performer. I would love to find a 04 or newer allroad with a 4.2l (timming chains, I think?) and a manualtranny, but I don't think they exist. So I will set my sights on the 2.7t manual. thanks

It seem that oil leaking is a quite common for Audis.
Even mechanics with Audi do not repair the leaks on their cars due to reasons of repetitions.
If an Audi start leaking it will leak ...
Not just Audis but the other german car leak...
Typical ...

A Porshe mechanic stated once "if you want non-leaking car, get a japaneese"
