Unhappy A Dying breed

I was looking around on ebay motors yesterday and saw a 2005 ar with under 16k miles! I wish I had the funds to buy it and somehow keep it for when my existing car dies. Soon enough, there won't be any low miles allroads out there. The ar is on the path to extinction. (here in the US anyway) Sure it'll take a few years and before it happens we'll all try to keep it alive with rebuilds and replacement parts.

As Incremental knows, I grabbed my '04 in November with only 10.5K as a CPO. I'm still under 20K, and hope that either a. the car will last a long time for me, or b. that I'll be able to sell it for a good price in a few years when I pick up my S4 Avant 6-speed.

It does make me sad, though, to see this beautiful car disappearing...and I hope that the eventual surplus of suspension bags lowers their price as our cars get older!

I think it filled a unique niche. I love mine and plan to keep it long after my next car purchase. Maybe by then I'll be able to afford to surplus timing belts, air bags and spart turbos.
