The awesome allroad succumbed to the dreaded flooded battery area and fried the transmission ecu. The insurance company will not pay out so I am facing a total writeoff unless I can find the right ecu.

My current ecu has the 4Z7 927 156 E code. There seems to be some
4Z7 927 156 models around but not the E.

Can I get a second hand ecu with this code 4Z7 927 156 and get a working car or am I off to the spare parts man with the whole car.

appreciate any ideas the forum might be able to share.
