Default Parktronic Issue

I have recently bought a 2004 Allroad. It was supposed to be equipped with Parktronic. The sensors are in the rear but there is no beeping. Also when hooked up to vagcom there is no communication with the module. Where should I be looking? Is it possible the module is malfunctioning?

Simple stuff I know. Did you check the fuses?

Hmmm its been to two shops. I thought they would have checked that. Any clue on the location in the panel. I doubt that there is only one fuse controlling that but you do raise a very good point I will check. I would not want to be the mechanic if that is what is wrong.

Not the fuses. There are none burnt out and no specific fuse for parktronic. Vag com cannot find the module.

Not the problem. Again no communication with the VAG Com. All fuses are good. I am wondering if someone did not unplug a module. Not sure where I should look for it. I am sure it would be somewhere in a rear quarter.

Default reverse

Do your reverse lights come on when you put it in reverse? does your right mirror angle down (curb locator) when you have it in the right selector switch position?

This is what my 2002 allroad does, or i should say doesn't do. Audi dealer told me it's a multi-function switch. Located on the transmission.... they told me it would be over $400 parts and labor. I haven't got if fixed yet. Let me know if you find anything out

Yeah that all works. I am thinking something has been disconnected.

I'm not sure about the '04, but the control module in earlier models is located in one of the side compartments...near CD change or NAV unit.
