Re-Introduce the Allroad to US?
In reading European posts, blogs and articles I found a lot of them indicate Audi's plan to make the new allroad available here in the states. Articles as late as spring 2007 indicated it would be for sale here by 2008.
Do we know for certain that Audi nixed the A6 based allroad for the US? I know that's what we all thought, but is there any release from Audi saying it?
With the recent unveiling of the Q5, it does seemunlikely, but the Q5 is based on the A4 platform and leaves agoodsized gapbetween the Q7 and Q5 in terms of size.

I imagine they will want the Allroad, however, as there really isn't any other manufacturer out there making a similar vehicle of that size. The only one I can think of is the new Ford Flex which really isn't offroad based at all in comparison to the Allroad's offroad features - it is a Crossover vehicle though.
I'd love to see it make a comeback here in the US. I love the look of the new one.
It's really a niche car with an almost cult like following. The dealership where I got mine is always bidding on the lease returns through the audi auction system and bids are top dollar for excellent condition allroads. (they always sell here in the northeast)
