Ride/handling comparison Allroad vs. A6
I have not driven an Allroad, but like the station wagon style. Currently have my eye on a good manual 2.7T. One concern: how does the Allroad ride/handle compared to the the A6 (say 2003 generation), both 2.7T manuals?
Did Audi with the adjustable air suspension 'soft up' the nice handling of the A6?
I plan on using the VAG "423" or so to lower the air suspension. Would that firm up the ride/handling?

I have both (though "tiptronics") and I don't notice a lot of difference when I switch up. I do notice a higher center of gravity in the AR, especially when riding on level 3 of the air suspension, but still nicely firm and tossable. I doubt you'll notice a difference. Compared to the "S" Line, however.....
BTW, your BIG concern should be condition of the air suspension system (have all bags checked and see if the compressor makes noticeable noise when you stand outside the car).
