Cool Shuddering/fluttering at cruise

Hi guys,

2005 allroad 2.7 automatic w/124k

I've recently developed a fluttering at cruising speed(all shift modes (Drive, Sport, and Tiptronic)). At the same time this started I (I'm quite sure) noticed increased intake noise on the passenger's side of the engine bay.

Thinking I may have popped off an intake hose or something, I removed the top covers and made an inspection. There is nothing apparent when viewed from the top.

Before I lift the front end, is there anything else in the intake system that may have (is likely to have) popped off down there? I haven't inspected the connections at the intercoolers, so I don't know if they are fastened in a manner that might make them problematic.

If I can't find anything related to the intake system, then I will procede with an ignition system check (which is the most likely cause of my symptoms, other than the fact of the underhood noise).

Thanks for your assistance....

No, no CELs or anything like that. I don't have a cable to check for any codes that might not have tripped a CEL though.

Still having the issue, but I've been busy redoing the suspension on my Bimmer. Sure feels like a miss, and I sure hope it is. Or at least something simple I can fix myself, like an intake hose or something. lol.
